  2. All INN customers have a "home host" assigned to them \
  3. when they subscribe to the network.  This ID determines which "host" \
  4. to start at when you call up INN.
  5. \\touchtone.hlp
  6. Almost all modern telephones have touch tone capability.  If you hear \
  7. a series of beeps when you are dialing your phone, then you have touch \
  8. tone capability. If you hear a series of "clicks" instead, you DO NOT.
  9. \\passWord.hlp
  10. To prevent unauthorized access to your membership and account, a \
  11. password is required to enter The ImagiNation Network. Never reveal your \
  12. password to anyone.  Doing so will enable that person to use your \
  13. membership account on The ImagiNation Network at will, leaving you liable \
  14. for whatever charges might accumulate on your account.
  15. \\baudRate.hlp
  16. Baud rate is a measure of how fast your computer can communicate over the telephone lines.\
  17.   Pick 1200 or 2400, depending on the capability of your computer and modem.
  18. \\commPort.hlp
  19. The ImagiNation Network can communicate using 1 of 4 communications ports \
  20. assigned to the modem.  Pick from Communications Ports 1-4. \
  21.  If you are unsure, start by picking Port 1.

  25. Most modems will work with the the standard Modem Setup string provided \
  26. with The ImagiNation Network. \
  27. The \
  28. owners of certain modems must modify their Modem Setup by entering codes \
  29. (contained in their modem user's manual) to turn on or off modem features.  \
  30. Specifically, owners of modems with error-correction or data-compression \
  31. must turn off those features before accessing The ImagiNation Network. \
  32. If you are not sure \
  33. whether your modem needs a special setup, or if you don't know \
  34. precisely what to do, please DO NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES, just \
  35. press ENTER to accept the default setup.  If you need help making \
  36. changes, please call 1-800-IMAGIN-1
  37. \\directory.hlp
  38. Please enter the directory where an existing copy of INN is installed. If you \
  39. have multiple membership accounts with The ImagiNation Network, INN may have been \
  40. installed into seperate subdirectories.
  41. \\id.hlp
  42. Enter your 10-digit Member Number.  If the Member Number is not included \
  43. with your INN startup kit, you can acquire a Member Number by \
  44. calling The ImagiNation Network's \
  45. Member Services department at 1-800-IMAGIN-1.
  46. \\areacode.hlp
  47. Please enter the 3-digit area code.  You will then be given a menu of phone \
  48. numbers to dial.
  49. \\phonemenu.hlp
  50. Use the cursor keys or the tab key to move to the phone number you'd like.  \
  51. If you are going to connect to The ImagiNation Network at 2400 baud, use the \
  52. number on the right.  If there is no number on the right, you must use the \
  53. 1200 baud number.  Your baud rate will automatically be changed to match the \
  54. number you select.
